The Downs to the Sea Round 2,

An R&D bursary to develop a new work based on an aspect of the Downs to the Sea programme, either “Water in the Landscape” or “Water in People’s Lives”. Nina will create new writing that reflects the themes of the project and share them at a showcase event.

New Writing South, Theatre Royal Brighton & Chichester Festival Theatre
January ⁃ June 2026
A 6 month programme for 10 selected playwrights living in the South East. Run between January and June 2026, the process will culminate in a script-in-hand sharing with professional actors, where Nina will be debuting scenes from her first full-length play.

Nina was one of 12 Black, Asian and ethnically diverse/BPOC writers UK wide, selected to develop their writing practice with a range of professional writers, who provided an online programme of creative writing workshops, peer support and mentoring.
